as a bison and bamboo blend. Bufffalo gold #4 yarn is a 90/10 mix of bison with
nylon for strength and durability. The weight is Midweight yarn, 6 stitches per inch on
#6 US needles. 200 yards = 50 Grams.
Buffalo Gold #13 Bison/Bamboo Yarn is a greyish brown soft blend of 75%
Bamboo and 25% Bison Down. The weight is 265 yards per 50 gram skein., and it
does 7 stitches per inch on a #6 US needle. The bamboo makes this yarn shine, be
absorbant as well as cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

| MOOI Yarn: New from Louet North America... ...The talk of TNNA, Columbus! As featured in "Knitters Review" Mooi (pronounced moi) is a unique blend of fibers that combines all of the natural qualities of bamboo, bison and cashmere into an amazingly soft yarn. Mooi is simply a pleasure to knit and adds lustrous color to any project. This blended luxury yarn was designed by Fibre-Isle in Prince Edward Island, Canada, and was introduced under the Niji brand in march, 2008. Upon discovering that the Niji name is presently in-use by another yarn company, we elected to introduce a new name, drawing from our heritage to select Mooi, which means “pretty” in Dutch. The bamboo is dyed, while the cashmere and bison content remain natural, producing a stunning and vibrant visual effect. The fibers are blended prior to spinning. Fiber Content is 15% Bison, 15% Cashmere, and 70% Bamboo Hand Wash only, available in two sizes: All Mooi yarns are ordered specifically for each customer and are not kept in stock Lace weight is 3.0-3.55mm needles at 7-8 stitches to the inch. A 50 gram skein holds 350 yards. Sport weight is 4.0-4.5 mm needles at 5-6 stitches to the inch. A 50 grain skein holds 130 yards. |
