Cascade Spindles
Cascade Spindles are made in Washington State by spindlers that appreciate the beauty of the Pacific Cascade range of Mountains. They are made by hand, and were featured on the cover and throughout the project pages of the Spring 2005 Spin-off Magazine! We are proud to be the first and only Maryland distributor for these beautiful spindles. Right now our order is being manufactured, these spindles won't be ready until late June to early July. You can preorder now so you don't miss out! These are all rim weighted and spin beautifully!.

The Little Si Spindle is hand turned in Maple and Birch and polished to a mirror
like finish.. It weighs about 1 1/2 ounces. Pictured to left.
The St. Helens Spindle is
made of Spalt and
Fiddleback Maple with a
Walnut Shaft. It weighs 3/4
to a full ounce.
The Rainier Spindle is made
of Ranier Flame Wood and
weighs 7/8 to 1 3/8 ounces
depending on the density of
the wood used.
The Baker Spindle is made
from Yellowheart with
Walnut laminate with a
Walnut shaft. They weigh 1
to 1 3/8 ounces.
The Shuksan Spindle is
made with a Paduk and
Cherry Laminated Whorl
on a Birch Shaft. They
weigh 1 to 1 3/8 ounces.
The Tiger Spindle is made
from highly polished
Zebrawood and perfect for
silks and other luxury fibers.
It weighs about .5 oz.
The Shasta Spindle is
made from Balsam on a
Walnut Shaft. These
weigh from 3/8 to 3/4
ounces and are rim
weighted for long spin.
The Pilchuck is hand turned
from Maple and weighs under
1 7/8 ounces. It is polished
for high luster and rim
weighted for long spin.
The Cougar Spindle is made
from Pomelle Bubinga and is
also perfect for spinning silks
and other luxury fibers. It
weighs about .5 oz.
