| These hand dyed fibers are made in limited quantities due to the space limitations in my work area. There is natural variation even within individual dye lots so each ball of fiber can be slightly different! If you are looking for larger quantities of these fibers, please email me (info@KendigCottage.com). I would be happy to give you information on the availability of these fibers, and I do custom dye runs, two pounds minimum. I use acid dyes for these items and they are heat set. A small amount of dye run off might occur the first time the item is washed after it is made, but this is nothing to be concerned about, the dye is completely set in the fiber. Again, colors are approximate due to differences in monitors and computers. |
| Soft wool hand dyed rovings. This wool is the softest of a combination of Romney and Corriedale Ewe and Lamb fleeces, and some Lincoln Lamb. It's been hand dyed for your spinning and felting pleasure! A small amount of VM might be present as well as a small amount of lanolin, not enough to have to wash again before spinning. |
