| Merino/NZ Possum Blend 8 ply Yarn, Worsted Weight 70%/30% The New Zealand Possum is not the same animal as we have here in the States. Their Possum has soft and silky fur which has been said to be softer than many Cashmere goats. This is a wonderful blend that you'll enjoy, it's woolen spun with a gorgeous handle. These skeins are 200grams, or approximately 7.1 ounces. Most sweaters take only 2-3 skeins! For sheer luxury, this yarn will not pill, and since possum is a hollow fiber it's one of the warmest known fibers on the planet. Hand Wash. Needle size 4.mm (US 8) Yarn length is 440m per 200gram skein (481.19 yards).. We have made a decision to discontinue these yarns. Since they come from New Zealand where the dollar is weak, any reorder of these will be incredibly expensive. We will continue to look at ordering the yarns in the future when the world economic situation improves. Right now we have limited amounts! |
